More About LS Travel
There are so many amazing places to go and so little time to do it in this busy life. So, we asked some of Black Ring Swing Swing’s original members, we’ll call them K and A, to share with us their experiences from their adventures at various Lifestyle venues throughout the east coast and beyond. We suggest you go to the venue’s websites, and research the trip as you normally would, but we want to share their comments with you so that it might provide you with some “helpful hints” that may make your plans work out just a little bit better.
Secrets - Kissimmee, Florida
Helpful Hint #1 - This is a converted motel, with outdoor access to the rooms, many of which surround a large courtyard with a pool. Hot tub and bar area. The inside rooms which face the pool area make your walk to the fun much easier, but it is also close to the partying, hence more noisy. If the fun is worth the noise, then you are good. If not, it is possible to have rooms on the outside side of the resort but be aware that it is a much longer walk to the amenities. It may be Orlando, but there are still times when it is cold at night, especially when you are naked!
Helpful Hint #2 - Consider going on a weekend. Days earlier in the week may be extremely quiet. This is consistent with our experience as well.
Helpful Hint #3 - Given that these are condos (therefore each with their own style), there is a kitchenette in each one, and it is suggested that you bring your own snacks, simple meals and booze because you may want something outside of restaurant and bar service hours.
Helpful Hint #4 - Think about using the website ahead of time to chat with people to try to establish connections prior to arriving. As many of you have noticed, it can be tough to break into social circles that have already been formed.
Helpful Hint #5 - There is a nice gift shop that includes things like costumes in case you need to boost your supplies.
Splash Takeovers - Various locations
K and A attended a Splash brand complete hotel Takeover Event in Atlanta, Georgia. They felt that this was well done and organized. The conference rooms of the hotel were the playrooms, each with a theme. K and A were able to take classes and got some free goodies. There were also themed parties each night of the weekend.
Helpful Hint - Again, making connections early is helpful. This is tough if you are not a naturally outgoing person or couple, but it is worth making the effort. As we have said in previous articles, having a conversation inducing costume, or other garment can help. Even just making eye contact and smiling directly at someone can create an opening for a conversation to start.
Trapeze - Atlanta, Georgia
K and A felt that the best thing about Trapeze was the food! Which is interesting because Swinger Clubs, not so much known for their culinary stylings. They mentioned that there were a lot of single males there, but they were, as at many clubs, not allowed in the play areas without a lady or a couple.
Helpful Hint #1 - There is a Diamond Club option. This comes with a hefty additional cost, but was judged by K and A as possibly worth it if you can “swing” it because the atmosphere is quite luxurious in that area. Only a certain number of people are permitted in the Diamond area per night.
Helpful Hint #2 - Both single women and couples may attend nightly events beginning at 8pm, but attendance by single men is limited to Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Le Boudior Club - London, England
Helpful Hint - This is one of those “very exclusive” clubs where you must apply and get accepted. It is the biggest club in London.
Our Place For Fun - London, England
Helpful Hint #1 - K and A found the European scene is different. They found there that Consent is Implied. Men were apt to touch without being invited. Therefore, women should be more guarded while abroad. I know there is a “broad” joke there somehow but I can’t make it work! Anyway, just keep this in mind when traveling to Europe.
Tempest - Louisville, Kentucky
Helpful Hint #1 - Security was good. But there are some nights where you must be escorted to certain areas of the club.
Helpful Hint #2 - K and A found the application process to be basic, and they were provided a lengthy tour, but there is also an online version.
The Private Affair (TPA) - Port Deposit, Maryland
Helpful Hint - You can make a reservation to stay overnight at TPA after the club closes at 2am, however, be aware that, although the club is closed, those who are staying over are not necessarily planning to quietly go to sleep! Loud talking and activity will continue until quiet hours begin at 4am.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of the adventures had by K and A, but we sincerely thank them for sharing their tips with us so that we could relay to you some aspects of these venues that you may only realize once you have been there.
K and A have also spent time at Tabu in Baltimore, Caliente in Florida, The House in Raleigh, and The Lucky Lovers Campground in New Bern, North Carolina. We are looking forward to hearing more about their future adventures!
